Our Mission

Reimagining church through the radically inclusive love of Jesus.

Who We Are

We aim to create a faith community where all belong by embracing:

Love that Reconciles
We believe that God’s love reaches across every divide, bringing people into right relationship with God, one another, and themselves. We want love to be the beginning and end of all we do!

“Above all, clothe yourselves with love, which binds everything together in perfect harmony.” (Colossians 3:14)

Justice that Restores
We pursue God’s heart to make whole what has been broken and to center those often left out so that all may experience God’s fullness and flourish.

“The Lord has revealed what is good and what is required: to do justice and to love kindness and to walk humbly with your God.” (Micah 6:8)

Grace that Welcomes
God’s grace makes space for everyone at the table! We extend that same radical welcome, creating a community where all belong.

“From the fullness of God, we have all received, grace upon grace.” (John 1:16)

Generosity that Overflows
Because God has given freely to us, we live with open hands - sharing our time, resources, and lives so that others may experience God’s goodness and abundance.

“We know what real love is because Jesus gave up his life for us. So we also ought to give up our lives for others. If someone has enough to live well and sees another in need, but shows no compassion… how can God’s love be in that person? Dear children, let’s not merely say that we love each other; let us show the truth by our actions.” (1 John 3:16-18)

Creativity that Inspires
We celebrate the creativity of God woven into all of life! In worship, service, and everyday routines, we cultivate imagination that inspires hope and new possibilities.

“For we are God’s masterpiece, created in Christ Jesus so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.” (Ephesians 2:10)

Statement of Belonging

All belong here. That conviction isn’t just reflected in our name. It’s woven into the DNA of our church.

We are committed to reflecting the love of Christ by fostering a community that celebrates the beautiful diversity of God’s creation. We believe that our differences—in how we look, where we're from, how we identify, and whom we love—reveal the fullness of God.

All belong here. We celebrate God’s creativity embodied in every person and embrace our calling to the ministry of reconciliation that brings all people together. Anyone who calls Belong Church home—people of every age, race, gender, gender identity & expression, sexuality, ability, and background—is invited to fully participate in the worship, community, and leadership of this church.

We acknowledge the long and painful road that many from historically marginalized groups have walked within Christian spaces. We grieve the ways that many have been made to feel unwelcome and unseen. We aim as a church to wholeheartedly live out the way of Jesus with full inclusion, holistic justice, deep and wide spiritual formation, and a gracious posture in all things.

All belong here. We welcome those who are wrestling with big questions about life, God or what it means to follow Jesus. We believe life is best experienced in authentic community and we value honest conversation and real questions. Come explore with us.

Our Beliefs

We believe in one God - always with us, always loving us, always sustaining us. We affirm the ancient mystery that this one God is revealed in 3 persons:
    • The Creator
    • The Christ (Jesus)
    • The Counselor (Holy Spirit)

We hold Scripture central to our faith. We trust its power to proclaim the good news of God's love and grace into our individual lives and the life of our church. We believe the Bible invites curiosity and conviction and is best discerned in community, where questions and conclusions are held with humility. We rejoice that the Holy Spirit guides us through the scriptures and that God is always speaking.

We believe that every person is created in God’s image and carries sacred worth. We recognize that all fall short of God’s intent, yet all are welcomed at God’s table and invited to join in God’s renewing work of love and reconciliation.

We believe that the life and teachings of Jesus show us the best way to live in loving relationship with God, with each other, and with the world around us. Jesus’ love and sacrifice demonstrated on the cross exposes the cruelty and injustice of the world. Christ’s resurrection offers us the way of grace, healing and new life.

We believe the Church is the living Body of Christ on earth - an empowered community through which people can taste and see God’s goodness and love. We believe community is made stronger through diversity and commitment to love one another. At the open table of God, all are invited to share in weekly communion, celebrating and remembering Christ’s sacrifice and presence. We practice baptism as an outward demonstration of a person’s acceptance of God’s grace.
